The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) was formed by a Royal Decree in the year 1978 as a Public Company, 22% ownership held by the Public Investment Fund “PIF” of the Saudi Government, 20% by Saudi Aramco Development Company and the remaining is widely held in public shares by Saudi Nationals.
GDP growth and the economy in Saudi Arabia
Since the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s economy depends on oil, we can see growth in GDP in line with oil prices during the period between 2007 m – 2014.
Oil prices fell in the summer of 2014, and the International Monetary Fund is expected to be average Annual oil to 2015 the price of 0.59 US dollars a barrel, with a slight increase in Prices during 2016.
